The proposal of the Professional Master's in Public Management course aimed at broadening NAEA's performance in academic formation, thus giving continuity to its mission of constitution: training of skilled labor for the process of local and regional development of the Amazon. As a specific objective, the Public Managemet Graduate Program intends to develop a comprehensive vision of public management processes for development, incorporating its environmental, social and economic dimensions, stimulating the capacity for criticism and creating the capacity for intervention in the social reality of the continental Amazon region. While it is true that the region integrated many development plans of the country, it has demonstrated a lack of assimilation capacity and little capacity for critical intervention. Therefore, it is proposed to train professionals who exercise or intend to carry out management activities in the federal, state and municipal public administration or in public organizations with planning, analysis and monitoring capacity.
